Las Loritas, The Parrots (Teresa)

Yes, we have parrots in our house.  They are in the form of Luisa and Ashanti, who are very similar in their love of talking....on and on....about most anything....especially when they are supposed to be eating!  Luisa first earned this nickname at the dinner table a few weeks ago once she became comfortable enough with Spanish to begin joking, teasing, and generally having a good conversational time.  Our housekeeper was the first to call her "La Lorita" but we all thought it very appropriate so it stuck.  Soon, Luisa and Ashanti were engaging in continuous dialogue and banter, such that that they are together known as "Las Loritas"!  (Sure wish we had the wifi capacity to post videos!) Parents are entertained, but also have begun to set some deadlines for eating.....like "whomever is the last to finish the meal gets to wash all of the dishes," and there are lots to wash with this big group!
