A bit of birding

We have been enjoying three kinds of herons which are common along the rocky coast:  the Lava heron (unique to the Galapagos); the Great blue heron (a bit smaller and darker than the one we're used to seeing in Goshen); and the Yellow-crowned night heron.  They enjoy hunting around the large volcanic rocks that line the shores (and cover much of the island) where they find plenty of crabs, lizards and insects!
