Travel Update by Kent

Today our Guayaquil host, Jennifer, took us to get our visas registered, which you need to do for visas longer than 90 days.  One has to register them within the first 30 days.  So, this is something we need to do before we fly to the Galapagos.   We had tickets for tomorrow, but we can't get our visas back with the proper registration until tomorrow.  So, as long as we stay with the same airlines, we don't have to pay any extra to change days.  The next available flight is Friday at 10:50 a.m.  Jennifer is taking great care of us, but it's still can be challenging at times to do so much waiting.  However, in observing Latin American cultures, it seems like they do a lot more waiting than we North Americans are used to.  This week will be our lesson on waiting--and hopefully we can do a few more sight seeing outings (see Luisa's post) while we wait.
