First day of teaching music (Magdalena)

This morning our family went to the school to teach our first music class. At this point, we only have this one class of high schoolers. We were told we would have 80 minutes with them so that's what we prepared. We learned a round, "viva viva la musica" and learned a song on the recorder. They were all quick learners with the recorders because they had learned how to play them in school when they were younger. 40 minutes into the period some of the kids started saying "bye" as if class was done. We were confused and it turned out that we only had 40 minutes with them instead of 80 like we had thought. So no lesson plans need to be made for tomorrow's class period. We were told tomorrow will be 80 minutes but who knows how long it will be. Good first day!
