... as we figure out what new things we can deal with and what we can't
... as we try new foods....there are some types and preparations of fish that Luisa can tolerate!
... as we make mistakes and practice humility
... as we process cultural differences with our host family
... as we practice patience with each other and ourselves when learning seems soooo slow
... that I (Teresa) am still young enough to enjoy a walk on large rocks, sometimes with a fall or two

... a 4 yr old boy with special needs sinking into Magdalena's lap and relaxing peacefully for a bit
... sharing in the joy of our household for Julissa's (long awaited) pregnancy
... after a stressful class session, Teresa received a lovely handmade bracelet from a young student
... in the new relationships, grace, and goodwill between host families and foreign volunteers
... when we each find ourselves content and happy with our particular stage of life
... in the church service when we "Pass the Peace" among our little family, host family, and strangers seated near us
... in a treat of ice-cream or fresh mango
... rhythms of ocean waves and tides, of sunsets and sunrises
