Last evening we learned that one of our volunteers is missing. A group of 20 went camping together, and when it was time to hike back out, one young man took off on his own rather than staying with the group. He is a big, strapping 20 yr old from Norway, but it's easy to get lost in these natural areas.
Many mobilized last evening to look for this young man, but didn't have much time before dark. This morning they are searching again.....the National Parks personnel, the police, and the firefighters. We are hoping, praying, and thinking positively! At breakfast Magdalena confidently told us "Jens is fine and they've already found him! I read it on facebook!"
Pray with us for Jens, for his parents, for the local staff, and for all the locals and volunteers who are very concerned. Also pray for those a who are searching. Hopefully, by the time you read this Jens will be found, and back in town! For now, I pray he can remain calm and know that he is in the care of his Creator.
